134 Mill Street + 5 Jewish Students + 1 Kosher Kitchen = Ohio University’s first ever Jewish Housing Cooperative

Hillel at OU has embarked on an exciting project – we gathered together 5 dedicated Jewish students, helped them find a student rental on Mill Street, and began discussing how to live a vibrant Jewish life on the campus of Ohio University. A kosher kitchen, Shabbat and Holiday celebrations, and cooperation were the key elements for our students. Our first five students – Sarah, Lisa, Josh, David, and Lauren – will set up a kosher kitchen and define life at OU in much more Jewish terms.
